My bestie put me on this place some yrs ago n the food still hits the same. So good! This time I went before closing and unlike other places whose food is a waste, the food here was limited but still yummy. And their Peanut Punch is delicious!
The only place I go for Ackee and Salt fish! Their Soups are terrific as are the fresh juices. The food and the energy is as authentic Jamaican as it gets!
The food was delicious as always…They definitely stand on their name 😊
This food is really good at this place. We got the curry chicken platter w/ cabbage, & white rice. Jerk Chicken w/ collard greens and Rice & Peas. Chicken is really tender and fall of the bone. & The homemade Watermelon Juice is amazingggg! Very fresh. We enjoyed this spot.
This place may seem a little off but don’t be afraid because inside is flavor like no other. The food was super yummy and the price was surprisingly reasonable. But the true gem was their homemade juice. We tried the watermelon juice and it was like biting into a fresh slice of watermelon. For food we tried the curry goat with rice and peas and cabbage, and the oxtails with sweet potatoes and collard greens. The portions were a lot for the price all together we spent 37 for the food we also had two Pepsi and two waters and 8 for the homemade juice
Came here after a strong recommendation from a friend and it did not disappoint! I’m sad the mac & cheese wasn’t ready! 😂 We got curried goat/red beans w/rice, greens and jerk chicken dark meat platter. OMG the flavors are amazing! Also cash only. I will definitely be back. 👌🏽
My cousin who's a regular customer and I, who's a visitor from NYC that never had ackee and saltfish, went here this morning and had two mini plates with boiled dumplings and boiled plantain. As beverage, a Kola Champagne. We enjoyed and I will have another dish when I'm in town again. The serving staff was engaging as well and the eating area is clean. The booths are a cute touch, too.
You know the show t Dinners, Drive-Ins and Dives? This place should be on that show. It is amazing! Of course it won't be. Because Guy Fieri only goes to strip malls and places in the middle of nowhere. The food was outstanding and it is definitely a dive. I only gave them four stars because there is a step to get into the restaurant which is super tiny. Don't let the looks fool you. You will love the authentic Jamaican food. We purchased, cod fish soup, oxtail with rice and cabbage, and Chicken in brown sauce with collard greens. Portions were super generous. You cannot order ahead, you must order when you get there and it is cash only. So bring plenty of greenbacks! You
